Fall Fundraiser
Each year Community Hospital Health Foundation hosts a
gala event in which the community is invited to
participate. From 1998 through 2004, the event was
entitled “An Evening for Hospice”. In 2005, we took a
brief change of
direction to celebrate 20 years of Community Hospital
Health Foundation’s existence. Although the theme was
focused on celebrating growth over time, the proceeds were
directed to Hospice services. In 2006 the gala event
returned to “An Evening for Hospice” theme. Thanks to the
many sponsors, donors and bidders at the live and silent
auctions, more than $200,000 has been raised for Hospice
services in the past nine years. Those dollars have made
it possible for Community Hospital Health Foundation to
pay for home and hospital hospice care, family support
materials and continued education and training for our
wonderful Hospice nurses.
The most important aspect of the Fall Fundraiser is the
tremendous support given by members of our greater
community. People and business owners who give generously
because they recognize how fortunate we are to have health
care available here, at home. They know that philanthropy
supports the professionals and staff at Community Hospital
and their gifts make the difference between adequate
services and the best care we can offer.
In the years to come we will continue to plan and
implement an annual event in the fall that is both a
fundraiser for healthcare and an opportunity for the
community to celebrate.
