Lemoine "Andy" & Geri Anderson

New Gift Added to Years of Support
Lemoine “Andy” and Geri Anderson arrived in McCook in
1958 after purchasing the Ford dealership located on the
corner of First & West C streets from Myatt Volentine.
That marked the beginning of their 49 years together in
this community.
Andy & Geri raised their three daughters and a son in
McCook, all graduating from McCook High School. Sadly
their son Michael lost his battle with cancer in 1996 at
the young age of 45. As a result of their loss, Andy &
Geri became long time supporters of Hospice services. In
1996 they initiated a gift to Community Hospital Health
Foundation in Michael’s memory to start a Hospice
Endowment so that others could benefit from Hospice
services. They have continued to support that fund through
their annual giving and participation in “An Evening for
Hospice”. Many people have been the recipients of their
generosity.
Now, with their most recent gift of $50,000 to the new
Rehabilitation Center, Andy & Geri are expanding their
charity to include support for therapy and rehabilitation
services for the people in our region. It was Andy’s
desire to “do something special” for Geri. The location he
chose for commemoration is the central admissions area
because it is the entry point for all who are seeking care
in this new facility.
We express our gratitude to Andy & Geri for their
charitable support and for their understanding of the
importance of maintaining quality health care in our
region.
